TxGCP is using the Givepulse platform for making connections to STEM volunteers and STEM in-person or virtual volunteer opportunities across Texas. Make requests for volunteers, sign up to volunteer and get connected!

We are making it easy for STEM professionals to connect with K-20 educators, classrooms, out of school time programs, and other volunteer opportunities. Professionals can share their skills and expertise to bring real-world, authentic learning opportunities to all our students helping to create the next generation of innovators. STEM professionals can help educators and program providers connect their students to the world of STEM. Together we can make a difference.

TxGCP is using the Givepulse platform to foster meaningful STEM volunteer connections. In collaboration with the Texas Girls Collaborative Project, the following organizations are using Givepulse to drive connections between STEM professionals and STEM volunteer needs: Greater Austin STEM EcosystemCentral Texas Discover EngineeringThe University of Texas at Austin K12 STEM Collaborative, and The University of Texas at Women in STEM.

If you are an educator, organizer, or organization seeking STEM volunteers virtually or in your area:

  1. Head to Givepulse and check that the dropdown box in the middle says “I am looking for volunteers in” and enter your zip code.

  2. Click search to list an event and find and recruit volunteers.

  3. Enter all your event details. The more descriptive you can be, the more likely volunteers will sign up. Be sure to select “STEM” under causes.

  4. If you are not already registered, you will be prompted to do so.

  5. You will next be prompted to post the volunteer event with a group. If you have a group (the organization or group your volunteer event is affiliated with), select it and affiliate the request with your group. If you do not yet have a group, create one for your organization.

  6. Once you click "Create Group and List My Event," your event will be published and volunteers can start finding it.

  7. Consider affiliating your organization/group with Texas Girls Collaborative Project so that your volunteer events show up on the TxGCP group page as well.
